Independence

Expand With Asia is an independent information platform. We are not a corporate service provider, we do not incorporate companies, and we do not act as a company secretary or nominee director. That independence is the reason this site exists: almost every guide on choosing an incorporation service is published by a firm that sells one.

We earn revenue when a reader chooses to be matched with corporate service providers from our vetted panel. Providers do not pay for favourable coverage, cannot buy placement in our guides, and have no input into editorial content. Where a provider category has genuine drawbacks, we publish them.

Sourcing standard

Every regulatory figure — fees, tax rates, thresholds, deadlines, salary floors — is verified against the administering agency before publication. Our primary sources are:

• ACRA — incorporation fees, filing deadlines, penalties, the Corporate Service Providers register, audit exemption
• IRAS — corporate income tax rates, exemptions, rebates, GST
• MOM — Employment Pass and work pass requirements, qualifying salaries, COMPASS
• EDB, MAS and scheme administrators — grants, incentives and sector-specific requirements

Market pricing that has no official source — nominee director fees, corporate secretarial retainers — is published as a range derived from a survey of current provider pricing, and labelled as such. We do not present a single number where the market shows a spread.

Review and freshness

Singapore's rules change, often at Budget. Every guide carries a last reviewed date, which is updated only when the figures in it have actually been re-verified — not when the page is edited for style. If a guide has not been reviewed recently, the date tells you so.

Regulatory and tax guides carry a named author and, where the subject warrants it, a named reviewer.

Corrections

If you find an error, tell us and we will fix it. Material corrections to figures or requirements are made promptly and the last-reviewed date is updated. We would rather be corrected than be wrong on a page someone is budgeting against.
